@JasonD716 Are you still looking for a lightweight laptop in the $1,200 CAD range? I haven't seen anything new since you last posted, and prices have mostly been steady or even risen in the interim: the global shortage of graphics cards has made people desperate. I can take another look, but I doubt there are more lightweight laptops with an Nvidia 1650 out there, and the ones with the (newer, faster) 3050 are both more expensive and mostly not available.
- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict Yeah I’m looking for a few more that could play in that budget and still a thin build

@JasonD716 I looked again and didn't see anything under $1,250 that was also under 4 lbs, except for the Dell I mentioned before:
There are a couple options just over 4 lbs, two MSIs (one in three different configurations), and one Lenovo slim laptop that's only available in your preferred budget (until the sale ends tomorrow) as an open-box option:

None of these are the truly lightweight options you might want, but they're also the lightest laptops that could run Sims 4 on ultra graphics settings in this price range. If you want something significantly lighter, you'd be looking at an MX350 graphics card at best, one that might handle high settings but almost certainly not ultra. This is one example, although there are plenty of others.

Point is, hte market is pretty much the same as the last time you asked, which is not surprising.
- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict If my budget is bigger are there any more you can show me like can you list some under 1500
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@JasonD716 Get a desktop. It'll be half the price and twice as powerful.
Never understood why people use laptops and tablets for gaming and expect it to perform better than desktops. It won't happen. - 5 years ago@Psychotps I like them a lot too but there not portable ☹️

@JasonD716 I'm sorry, but I still couldn't find any lightweight portable laptops with gaming graphics cards for under $1,500 CAD. The two cheapest options I found were these:
Even if you did get one, you'd be paying several hundred dollars more for about half a pound less of weight, which doesn't seem like a great deal.
If you know someone in the U.S. who could order for you, I've seen the Asus Zephyrus G14 occasionally on sale for as low as $1,000, not including sales tax, which would be cheaper than Canadian prices. Or maybe you'll see it on sale from Best Buy Canada if you watch for a while.
Other than that, you'll need to decide what's more important to you and compromise on the other half. Does the laptop have to be extremely lightweight, or can it weigh a bit more? I've given you some good options in that department. Do you absolutely want a laptop that can run all packs on ultra graphics settings, or would high settings be okay? You could get a laptop with an MX450 for under $1,500:

And I linked one with an MX350 earlier, although it's certainly not the only option. The point is, it really feels like what you're looking for isn't out there, and no amount of waiting is going to make much difference.
- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict Ok since it’s a new year do you think new laptops will come out with around what I’m looking for
