Re: Can't place exterior trim on top floor because it's "ground level"??

@Kattoinette Exterior trims need a fence to attach to on top of rooms, which from your screenshot seems to be what you want.

So, you'll have to "draw" a fence around the flat "roof" on top of the room, and then apply the trim to that.

    @Kattoinette  The requirement for a trim is stated in the UI for it.  When I only want a trim and no other structure like a fence, I draw a room on top of the one I want to have it attached to but that is not eligible for it according to the game design. Then I attach the trim, and delete the extra walls on top by using the sledgehammer (not moving the whole structure).

  • @stjmk This is EPIC thank you! I wanted to place trim just below the roof of my tiny home and this is the only way it would work without needing to add a flat layer that would count as more flooring. The fence just disappears under the roof, without deleting the trim.
