@bootsguy  When you click "New Topic," you'll get the option to choose a poll rather than a normal discussion.  You can only start new topics if you're a full member though: you need 15 posts, 25 points, and an account more than 24 horus old.  If you meet these criteria and are still listed as a "new member," try signing out and back in again.
