i know its a year old post but i found a quick solution that may help in the future.

you got to use the Cheat Console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C. Input the cheat code testingcheats true.

Input the cheat code Sims.remove_all_buffs into the text input field that appears at the top of the screen, it will instantly remove it. hope it helps.
