It wasn’t a proper investigation I think, so in the middle of the night I suddenly got an event called “haunting” or something like that and there was a ghost on the property. My sims had the option to either call the landlord to sort it out or confront the ghost themselves, it happened on both properties on the lot and both times I got them to do it themselves because it seemed faster. A separate time there were spectres on the original lot and I realised that there were some of the haunted objects outside but I got rid of them I think.
As far as I’m aware I didn’t select haunted in the lot traits so not sure why the ghosts were so keen on this place! In the rental house next door was one of my sim’s sister and she’s a paranormal investigator so I don’t know if that affected it at all, or it could just be a random glitch and they got unlucky!
