Re: Lyndsay Pearson wants a Metaverse/ VR Sims 4 (and 5)

In other news stories they are also suggesting a Live Service format.

I'm someone who has played the Sims from day one all those years ago, I liked where the game was heading in terms of inclusivity and more cultural content. Apart from that I really just want it to be playable, which right now for me it most definitely is not.

I don't really want to see it zipping off into the stratosphere. I didn't like when Star Wars content was added... even though I LOVE Star Wars. It was too left field for the type of game the Sims has always been and the content clashed for me.

New ideas are great but I don't see the point in focusing on them when the game is in such a broken state the bigger it gets. In my opinion, as someone who currently has hundreds of pounds worth of game sitting idle because it crashes after 5 minutes...I don't want to see dreaming up new directions. I want/need to see all hands on deck fixing what's broken and making the game stable, with an eye towards creating a more stable and playable Sims 5 that stays loyal to it's fanbase and rights the wrongs of Sims 4.

We love this game for a reason and it ispires real devotion. I suggest that if a think tank of players was established on here (we don't all use Twitter and this forum should be Sims HQ IMO) then potentially many players would agree. I also think with some ideas, again a lot more focus on PC players when Console players already feel sidelined from discussions I've had and posts I've read. I've considered switching to PC for Sims 5 but the ideas for format that I've seen so far make me feel that the game is potentially going in a direction I don't want to follow.

I think a huge listening exercise is needed and hours of reading this, like hours. Our Wants and Fears are all here for devs to take into the next game and I'll bet we'll gladly give more of them if called upon to do so. We're all stakeholders here and the game usually takes us with it when it evolves.

@simsplayer818 Exactly. The team needs to listen to the community. However, there are so many video essays and analyses by thoughtful content creators that are already out there.
