@4everanglbby  There are lots of good monitors out there, but a lot of what makes a monitor good for a given person is subjective.  So I would suggest that if you can, you visit a Best Buy (U.S./Canada) or another store that has monitors on display and have a look around.  Ask someone to show you IPS monitors only: they have the best color quality and viewing angles, and since you normally use a Mac, you'll likely be disappointed with anything else.

Other details to pay attention to are refresh rate and resolution.  I also use a Mac and find my 27" 2560x1440 monitor slightly grainy up close.  It's not noticeable in-game, but I would definitely not go with a 1920x1080 monitor at that size, and probably not at 24" either.  I might be unusual in that regard though.  Point is, have a look for yourself.

For the refresh rate, make sure (or have the sales associate make sure) that the monitors in question are running at their advertised rates.  If you or they don't have a video to play that runs above 60 Hz, which will probably be the case, open a File Explorer window and drag it around the screen, then switch back to 60 Hz and do it again.  If you can't tell the difference, paying more to upgrade to 100 Hz or above is pointless as far as Sims 4 is concerned; if the higher refresh rate feels better, it's well worth the price.

For any given manufacturer (Dell, HP, Asus, etc.), all panels of a given size, refresh rate, and type (IPS or not) will look and feel substantially the same.  So you don't need to see every possible monitor out there; just figure out that you like monitors made by companies X and Y and wouldn't want one from company Z.

Once you know the specs you'd like and the manufacturers whose monitors look good to you, come back and list those details, plus your budget and country.  You can link something you're considering or just ask for recommendations in general.  But I don't want to tell you that a given monitor will make YOU happy without your knowing what details actually matter to you.
