Please remove all Mods & CC and try the game without.

- Did that, problem continues. Toddler will sleep on sofa, chair, floor, but not in toddler bed.
Please try to repair the game. Rightclick the game in Origin and select Repair. If that does not work try selling the Toddler bed and buy a new one.
How long after the Toddler is read to sleep does it wake up and is it sad?

I just had this problem with an Adult Sim! I have no mods or CC in my game. You are not alone. Clearly a bug.

It once happened to me she refused to sleep and the parents will sometimes read but during reading the toddler stands up
I had it and hired a nanny and as all nannies do clean up she took something from the bed to the toybox. The little snipe forgot her toy in the bed and it was poking her awake this whole time. I didn't think of cleaning.
