Re: Sims 4 corner counters bugging, will not let me put my corner Counters

So I tried taking a video of what happens, and has been happening for the last month, but it said “unsupported link”.. the video was only 35 seconds lol I don’t get it.. ANYWAYS.. so I’m a long time builder/decorator and when interior decorating I’ve never had an issue connecting counters in corners. But ever since I updated my game it refuses to let me connect the counters in the corner. The only way to do that on my game now is to turn on “bb.moveobjects” and add a counter overlapping the last one before the corner, which makes it look stupid.. but this is the only way I can have it somewhat work.. this is the end result.. 😑 ETA: I am playing on Xbox One. Not sure what OP is using.

@Graham41Cracker Sorry, I split your thread into it's own thread now. The one you posted in was from 2015.

    Hopefully someone can assist you.

Do you have auto counters on or off?  Try changing it to see if that makes any difference.  If you have it off, you can select the inner corner cabinet manually if the game is not automatically recognizing the corner.

    Hope this helps.

  • @Graham41Cracker Sometimes I have the same issue.
When this happens, I remove the normal counters and place the corner counter first. Then I move the normal counters to the Corner counter.

@PipMenace I am having the same issue... And every time I click the gear to change the counter that automatically turns off. And I can't turn it back on without closing the gear
  • @EJAFamThe auto-counters turning off when you open the menu for manual counters is as intended, I think. Because if you are choosing a specific counter type, you'd want it to stay the one that you chose rather than changing.

When auto-counters are on, you need to place a counter on either side of the corner, and then when you place one between them it will automatically become a corner piece. It won't automatically become a corner piece just because you're at a corner, because you could be intending the counter to simply end at the wall.
