@lndzmbe If you use "save as" and rename the save instead of just "save," you'll create a new save file while the old one remains intact. You can do this as often as you want, and the saves will be separate files that have no influence on each other.
If you'd like, once you have a separate save for each family, you could get rid of the other families from each save so that you only have the one you want to play each particular save. On the other hand, you may prefer to keep those families as background in each save, so they can maintain your relationships with your main family. Their presence in one save won't affect what happens to them in another save: you're essentially creating a separate timeline for each save.
