@Scobren ,, well there were a lot of Simmers from all ages, from elders to kids who played the first Sims! (Most of the people I know who played TS1 were in their 20's and older, and I knew personally quite a few elders who played it as well! The great thing about the Sims is that it appeals to all ages!😎 And I know of some families that had 3 generations playing TS1, so that really hasn't changed much! 😉😄 However, what has changed is that now there are many people who play who grew up playing, which wasn't possible with the first Sims! 😄
Yes, I should probably look into Stardew Valley. 😉
The Sims in general isn't the best game suited for MMO. There would probably need to be a lot of differences if they were going to try something like that again. But that is why I think just the ability to invite your friends over to your Sims houses and to visit theirs is more suited to the Sims style of gameplay. And this way, those who don't want to play the Sims with anybody can still play the way they want to! Many people play the Sims to escape, as not everyone is an extrovert! (And then there are the extroverts who are control freaks with their Sims, like myself, who don't want their houses or families messed up! 🤣)
Yes, there were several musical artists over the years that I listened to in real life who worked on the Sims. Most of them recorded versions of their own songs in Simlish for the radio stations, But the guy who did most of the music for The Sims 2 was in a popular '80s New Wave band called Devo! His name is Mark Mothersbaugh. 😎
But not counting the radio stations, my favorite music for the Sims was TS1! It had very relaxing music that was also beautiful! 😊
Yes, I enjoyed the in-game music concert last summer, and hopefully they will do another one this summer , or at least something like it! 🤞
