    I edited work around ideas into the original post to make it easier to find them if anyone else encounters this bug. MCCC is working like a charm for me. I am so relieved and excited. I have loved this game very much ever since trying Sims2. This bug really bummed me out when I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. A work around makes me so happy. Thanks again, all.

I tried using a delete relationship cheat and must have typed something wrong as it didn't delete anything. Perhaps they have to be in the same household for it to work, which can't be done until after graduating (or quitting uni) 😉

I don't know what MCCC is, but I appreciate the helpful advice all the same.

And yes, the social isolation is just about the weirdest thing. I am really grateful for the tech we have available, compared to the last great pandemic, which I hear was in 1918. But I hang out with a friend every Saturday and these days it's in video conference, which is getting old fast indeed.
