Saves won’t load since update

Please forgive me if this is being placed in the wrong forum. Since the update no previous save files will load. I am able to create and start a new game but any save from before the update just stays on the loading screen. I’ve tried to repair the game and I have moved my mods folder from the Sims 4 folder and I am still unable to load a save. I use a 2021 MacBook M1 Pro with 329 GB of space remaining. I just recently began playing in December and the only mod I’ve had was MCCC and the rest was CC found via Patreon. If anyone can assist it would be appreciated.

Hello, after hard work I finally narrowed down my specific issue. It was one specific household where I had a pregnant Sim with a newborn. I was noticing each household would load in previous saves I had before the update except that one so I moved them out one by one, it would work but when I got to her it would get me frozen again. So not sure how updates affect that but once I deleted that one sim and aged up the newborn it’s back working. I just recreated her as close as possible and used MCCC to reassign her children and parents. My family tree is all messed up now due to an “unknown” sim but I’ll take it.

Same here - I'm unable to load saved households that I play, but I can load into misc. households. I updated my game, removed the Mods folder before starting up the game, deleted the cache files, and repaired my game. Still unable to load into saved households. I also receive 'last exception' files even though I do not have Mods installed.

Yes I have cleared cache as well. I’m really not understanding what to do besides maybe wait for a hotfix or patch I guess.

Actually - I got my game to work! I was doing more research and found someone say if you use custom food cc, there may be a plate stuck somewhere on the lot that would prohibit the lot to load. So I put my mods back in the game - and it worked! I was able to load my households again. So if you use custom food cc - place them back in your mods folder and reload. Just make sure your MCCC is up to date (since you said that was the only mod you use). Hopefully you can get your game working again!
