Just tried that, still getting the script call failed unfortunately.
Even with a new Sims 4 folder and none of your content from the one you moved to the desktop? No saves, no Mods, no tray files, nothing.

Yeah this is with a completely clean game. That’s why I am confused as to what the issue is. I know for sure I did it correctly because it prompted for the tutorial first and everything.

I'm having the same problem. I really need some help. I did everything that was stated, checked the Gameversion.txt, moved the EA folder to the desktop & that created a brand new folder, reinstalled sims, reinstalled origin. I have gotten nowhere.

Can you try a super repair - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M815
If that doesn't work I wonder whether you may need to uninstall completely and reinstall ☹️- 5 years ago
Tried the super repair, no luck. Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling both origin and the game but still am having the issue. Maybe a bug with the newest update? Not sure how I'm supposed to proceed from here though. I've never had an unfixable issue like this before. Thank you for your help.
