Should I get a digital code or a physical code will it last?

Ok, so I have Sims 4 on Xbox One. I don't own a console or a laptop, we use my boyfriend's account for everything since he has the live pass and I've never kept up with an Xbox account ever. So I don't mind if something happens and I loose the minor packs (all I have is paranormal pack and then eco lifestyle came with the disk) however he wants to get me one of the pricer packs and I'm at a loss on if I should get a dlc code or if I should get a physical code (sorry not so good with the lingo), but I'm honestly wondering if the physical one will be one time use? Any advice on how to keep a pack?

It doesn’t matter. In both version you get only a code. In this time you never get the complete right on a game anymore. You just have the right to use it as long EA support the access. Because of this is not uncommon if you get banned you lose all access to you other games.

You know if you lose access to your boyfriend account you don’t get a refund. This is the risk which you go if you share accounts. You only save option is to create your own account and buy it there.

Maybe you could create an account and use the family option with his Xbox? before I stopped playing on console, I used this setup to play games which my other half owned. Its always better to have your own account, you never know if something happens.
