Sim autonomy needs more options!

The current options are Off/Low/High with nothing in between.

When set to low they don't do enough for themselves, and just end up watching TV or going on the computer 99% of the time. When set to high - they do way too many useless things which makes me lose track of them. They'll also randomly cook meals and leave plates of food lying around that spoil. If it's off - they'll just end up standing in front of their toilet for 6+ hours if I forget to give them a new task.

I feel like the autonomy selection and actions that Sims would perform in the past Sims games have been much better than they are in TS4. It'd be nice to have like a medium level that's more intuitive than "browse the web" or "watch TV."

  • Hi, I realize yours is a suggestion that is a popular one, however, who knows what's in store for the Dev' of TS4 🤔

Just thought I'd mention, there are various mods, that can enhance your game experience, especially when it comes to Autonomy and the various packs. So, if you want to delve into them, I'm sure you'll enjoy the difference..

  • I don't mod, nor do I use CC...I've learned from all my past Sims experiences over the last 20 years that mods and CC generally end up with you eventually losing entire worlds because SOMETHING goes wrong, and you end up having to repair or re-install the game. This game is buggy/glitchy enough without mods. I'd rather not deal with even more wonkiness. I realize mods can give you more control, but they essentially break the game in many ways, which I'm just not interested in doing.

Wow, ok, each to their own then lol.. I use 1000s but with careful maintaining, I don't have issues nor ruin "entire worlds" either.. and would be lost and totally bored with my game without them.

Happy Simming at any rate 🙂

I have no connection to EA, am an Avid Mods/CC user, but don't make them

  • i play with lots of TS4 mods and cc since 5 years and they never caused gameplay issues and when it happened it was the absolute exception.

when a new expansion is installed i may have no funktional custom content until it is fixed but they never destroy my whole save, just waiting for update so i can use cc furniture again.

you will always have to care and upgrade your mods and sort old ones out constantly than its fine. sims Studio is amazing for it
