No solution here, but I have the exact same issue. Saved the sim to the gallery and have tried several times to place him. Keeps disappearing.
Wouldn’t be shocked if it has to do with the latest update or event….
Every other household, even in the same savefile, has been perfectly fine. I just gave up on attempting to play with that household
