sim cannot walk through an open space
So I've spent a really long time rearranging stuff and trying to fix this, but I can't figure out how. My sims cannot walk past the point where the sim in the photo is currently standing and i have no idea why. My gallery id is the same as my username on here and i've named the lot "help".
One thing that causes that is a roof that extends through the space that you can't cross. I see a roof behind the sim in your pic. To see if that is the problem, delete the roof and then test to see if the sim can cross the space. Then replace the roof and try again. If they can't cross, then you'll need to reconfigure your roof.
