This issue is happening to me today with a new build.
I’m a console player PS4 so no mods no cc (I’m always asked that and told to shut it off … console players are not able to use mods or cc lol)
anyway, no reason I can see for the routing fail … plenty of room around the bed … I did NOT use MOO (move objects) or any cheats (I’ve never activated cheats)
I have most expansion packs … this build is arid ridge in oasis springs … bed is the princess and the pineapple.
Im stuck on this build in play test mode so it won’t be going to the gallery. 🥺

@MamaRockit I helped someone a couple of days ago, and I'm wondering if perhaps your issue may be like theirs... they had a debug item on the lot that was causing an odd functionality glitch of the Sim not being able to place leftovers into the refrigerator: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Feedback/Sims-will-not-place-leftovers-in-refrigerator-this-lot-only-HELP/m-p/10708190#M55851 We were stumped, as it seemed completely unrelated.
Did you try placing the bed in the middle of an empty room (a different room), Seeing if a different sim will use the bed, making sure there is not another sim assigned to the bed int eh household, and replacing the bed? You could also try placing the lot on a different lot and testing it there, and in a different game save. Sometimes items or Sims (or even lots) can become buggy. You can try resetting the Sim and the bed.

Enable Testing Cheats:
• With your lot open, press Shift+Control+C to open the cheat console box (upper left of your screen). Enter the following in the cheat code box…
testingcheats on (press enter)
(Note: testingcheats true also works)
• You will see a confirmation message: “Cheats are enabled”.
Reset/debug:
• ‘Shift + click’ on the Sim or object and choose “Reset Object (Debug)” from the pie menu that pops up.
Method 2 (works only on Sim)
2-Steps: With your lot open, press Shift+Control+C to open the cheat console box (upper left of your screen). Enter the following in the cheat code box…
Enter the following in the cheat code box…
resetsim <First name> <Last name>(press enter)
Options involving leaving the lot:
Many times if a Sim or object is not functioning properly, freezes, or your household/lot becomes unresponsive, you can:
• Leave the lot and go to the “Manage Worlds” (world map). The game may or may not allow your to save when you exit the lot, depending on what is not responding. Then return to the lot. See if the game &/or object/Sim is now behaving normally.
• Leave the lot and choose “Exit to Main Menu”. The game may or may not allow your to save when you exit the lot, depending on what is not responding. Then return to the lot. See if the game&/or object/Sim is now behaving normally.
• Leave the lot by choosing to “Exit Game”. The game may or may not allow your to save when you exit the lot, depending on what is not responding. Then restart your game and return to the lot. See if the game &/or object/Sim is now behaving normally.
• Try traveling with your Sim then return to the lot. See if the game &/or object/Sim is now behaving normally.

If you would like to upload the lot to the gallery I would be happy to test in my game. You could name it something like "Bed Bug Test", or 'TESTING - DON'T DOWNLOAD'. Then please add a comment in this thread to let me know the name, and please let me know if your User ID in the gallery is different than it is here in the forum.
