Sim failed class at uni because she couldn't get to it in time

My Sim is at Foxbury and two of the classes she was taking, when one class ended the next one started five minutes later. They were both in different buildings, and it would take her 40 minutes to walk across the campus to get from one building to the next, which either meant she missed her class entirely or would make the last half hour. She failed the class and got an F, even though she always did the homework and did extra study. The buildings aren't even that far apart. In the real world, theres no way it would take you 40mins to walk that distance, it would take five mins at the most. The timings in this game sometimes are so annoying.

I also noticed that sometimes on her way to class she would get distracted, stop at the bottom of stairs and start talking to someone and this would make her late.

  • @SparklyB How frustrating!! There are a couple of bug reports below you may want to check out on this issue (or similar). You can add information &/or 'me too' the reports to help confirm and gather information for EA to address these issues:

    SheriGR ☕ –  I don’t work for EA.
Me Too – if you also have this problem – first post on thread has this button

XP – for helpful comments (& to help others 'level up')
Mark As Solution – to help others find the answer to the issue now & in the future

  • Thank you, I've added a 'me too' to the second thread as that is exactly the problem I've been having 🙂

I've noticed that Sims who live in Britechester don't get to class on time.  If I have them live in the other worlds they do just fine - even when the classes are only 5 minutes apart because they come home and then disappear again to class.  Not an ideal solution, but it is a work around until they can fix it.

Idk if this will help, but if you put "testingcheats true" on you can shift click the ground and the option to "Teleport Here" will come up. That's what I've been doing for every single Sim that I send to class. When "Go to Class" pops up in their queue I x out of it, and then teleport them to right outside their building. I do the same for classes that are right after each other. If your Sim is already in the process of doing that action a notification will come up that says something like "Are you sure you want your Sim to miss class?". I choose "Yes" and the action goes away, but I can go into their work panel and choose "Go to Class" once I've teleported them. I know it's not really a solution so to speak, but it's a workaround, for me at least. If you don't like having cheats on you can always turn them off afterwards.

  • @SparklyB It is even worse if you use bicycle in Foxbury. Getting on/off of bicycle for every stairs will take you like forever to go to your class.
