Sim Stuck With Working Icon

So, my Sim is having a bit of a crisis. He started experiencing a burnout, so I got him to do yoga, play chess, take baths and go for a jog (it was a creative burnout and he's a Freelance Writer). Eventually, it became a full Burnout, so I kept going, then it became a Brain Block. I've tried repairing the game, removing all my mods and CC, and still, my Sim has the work icon next to his portrait. I can control him and he's not greyed out, but he's stuck "at work", and I think that's why his burnout kept prgressing. Any ideas or help is appreciated 😃

That actually didn't work, I already tried that. What managed to fix it was when I went to Prom with another Sim and changed what he was doing at home

Travel with the sim to another lot and then travel back home.

That actually didn't work, I already tried that. What managed to fix it was when I went to Prom with another Sim and changed what he was doing at home

I’m having this issue right now and it’s so annoying 😞 My sim is an adult, so he can’t go to prom. I don’t know what to do. The glitch started after I accepted an offer to sell his brand (he was at the executive chef in the cooking career) while he was at work. It sent him home and I got a pop up asking if I was sure I wanted him to leave work early, which I said yes because accepting the offer makes your sim retire/quit. After that the working icon has been stuck on his profile and he’s progressively getting more burnt out.
I’ve tried getting him to join a new career and go to work, but the icon didn’t go away when he got home.
