Sim won’t throw away the trash

I know this post is two years old but I also know that this is still an issue, and it's the first page that shows up in search which means people are still reading it. I figured something out on my end this evening and I don't know how it just came to me. I have a vampire that zooms around as a bat automatically. I very time I try to clean something up, a diaper, a dish, garbage etc, I'd pick it up and then put it back down again. This has never been an issue for me until now... with this character. I don't use any mods. I decided to try disabling the always run as bat feature and viola! I haven't had the issue since. So... if you have a character that has the ability to zoom around automatically, you're probably having this issue. Weird that you can zoom around with littles but not with trash lol.
