Sims 3 camera won't work properly Sims 4

Hi!

So I've been playing the Sims for over a decade but I play off and on, and I hadn't played for a bit but decided last week to boot it up. For some reason, the camera won't tilt up properly from CTRL+ W. I'm using the Sims 3 camera settings and all the rest of the keys work, (CTRL+S, CTRL+D, etc.). I've noticed that the camera will tilt up if I press the W key first before CTRL, but it doesn't work that way for the rest of the keys and hasn't worked that way in the past. I don't know if this is a bug from the newest update? I do play with mods but all of them are disabled.

My computer specs are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K

Memory: 16GB

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

OS: Windows 10

I've tried turning Sims 3 camera mode on and off, restarting the game, and restarting my computer. None have done anything. Let me know if any further info is needed!

Did they change the controls for it? CMD plus WASD has always worked.

I'm not a developer, or a modder, and I'm not on MAC, so I have no idea whether the MAC controls were changed. You should try the method I suggested to see if it works, and then check the topic I referenced if it doesn't, to see if there are any other suggestions.

I'm not on a MAC either, I'm using Windows 10, but I'll try the link. Thanks

I thought you were on a MAC because of your reference to the CMD key, which doesn't exist on Windows keyboards.

My bad, I meant the CTRL key not the CMD key, so the shortcuts should be CTRL+W/A/S/D for the camera, but the CTRL+W is not working still.

CTRL-W still works for me on PC, so I don't think it's been changed. It seems more likely (to me) that a background program is interfering with that particular key combo. I know it's a nuisance to change your keyboarding habits but switching to another method of tilting the camera, such as CTRL-Up Arrow, is probably the easiest solution.

What kind of background programs could interfere with the keyboard like that? It has to be something new since I've never in a decade had this problem before so I'd rather try to remove the background program.

I don't know what programs can do that. I just know it's one of the possibilities.
