Hi all!
I have noticed for a long time that my Sims 4 worlds were bright, even at night. It was just something I have lived with, but I am doing an "Off The Grid" challenge, and part of it is to use candles only as lighting... but I don't need to. There is almost no difference indoors between day and night, and the whole world is bright enough to see even in the middle of the night, and the Sims don't care.
It happens on all worlds, all saves, all seasons. It is just always bright.
PLEASE NOTE: I don't know if this is just completely normal and here I am trying to fix a non-issue! Have added screenshots for exactly that purpose.
Things I have tried so far:
- checked that roof is covering entire room -- but it is the whole neighborhood too, not just the build
- changing the graphics settings from ultra to low medium
- tried laptop mode on/off
- post processing effect on/off
- repair game through Origin launcher
- computer and graphics card up to date
If any one has any suggestions it would be a great help -- or it is just how the game is, that's all good too!
Thanks!
What you show in your pics is the same as what I see in my game. It's always been that way. It never gets truly dark in the game like it does in RL. So, what you're seeing is normal, I think.
Hope this helps.
