Long time Sims fan here first time writing in!
I had a thought and somewhat of a pitch for EA - when in build/buy mode I think it would be amazing if there was an option to cast your Spotify or Apple Music so that you can listen to your own music!
Would this be something Ea would consider?

Hi there, you actually can use your own music to play in the sims. 1. choose songs you want to put in the game, they all must be .mp3 files with a rating of no bigger than 320Kbps 2. go to your games "custom music" folder which is usually located in c:\Users\you\Documents\The Sims 4\Custom Music and then go into a folder of any of the seven stations. 3. once you've chosen a station copy and paste all the songs you want. 4. turn on your game and stereo and choose your station.
Unfortunately, I don’t think that approach allows you to customize music in build/buy mode. Though I could be mistaken.
I hear ya. I find it repetitive too. There may be a mod that enables you to do this. I don’t use mods myself, but this is my less elegant, but still highly functional, workaround.

PS Some of the forum members are pretty knowledgeable re: mods - i’m sure we could recruit input if that’s smthg you want to explore. (:
Not exactly what OP asked for, but there is a mod to replace the music in Build/Buy mode with music from TS1, TS2, and TS3; on MTS. According to the rules for the forum, I'm unsure if I can link it.
