Permanent Last Exception Error in Retaurants "UniformAssign_Female"
Hi!
I permanently get this Last Exception Error in my restaurants:
TwistedMexi's Better Exceptions shows me this every time I load up a restaurant.
Category ID: outfit_picker_interactions.py:246
Possible Cause (Confidence: 10%) - outfit_picker_interactions
Exception during call to test method on <class 'sims4.tuning.instances.retail_UniformAssign_Female'> (AttributeError: 'property' object has no attribute 'sim_id')
Tested without mods and with several EA outfits showing in the restaurant outfit categories. Does anybody have this issue too and know how to fix this or is it simply an EA bug?
WOW! who would have guessed. I just got awesome assistance from KI/AI ! - will leave this here just in case someone else has the same problem and might finds this helpful. / I did.
The "retail Uniform Assign Female" (or UniformAssign_Female) Last Exception error is a known EA base game bug tied to how the game generates and applies uniforms for female staff members when loading or managing a restaurant.
Because it is embedded in the EA script code, the error will pop up even if you play completely without mods or Custom Content (CC). Fortunately, it is usually harmless and won't crash your game, but you can resolve or minimize the popup using the steps below.
How to Fix and Prevent the Error. Reset the Uniform Profiles.
Delete and Recreate the Restaurant Uniforms:
Overwriting default or existing outfit templates often corrupts the uniform assignment script. Open your restaurant in Build Mode (either through Manage Worlds or via your owned business panel).Go to the Restaurant Settings panel.
Navigate to the Employee Uniforms section. Completely delete the current custom uniform styles for all roles (Host, Waiter, Chef). Create a brand-new style from scratch rather than editing over an EA preset.
Limit to one outfit option:
Restrict each gender and role to exactly one outfit slot to prevent the game from looping trying to choose randomly
Reset the Uniform Profiles: Load into your restaurant, open the restaurant settings, completely delete the existing female staff uniforms, and create a brand-new style from scratch rather than editing the default one.
Remove Custom Content Filters: If you are using CC, download Sims 4 Studio and run the batch fix "Disallow CC for Default Garment" to stop broken custom assets from breaking the uniform assignment code.
Clear the Cache: Close your game and delete the localthumbcache.package file located in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder to erase stored uniform generation errors.
Ignore Harmless Triggers: If TwistedMexi's Better Exceptions or MCCC flags this specific error upon loading the lot but your gameplay remains unaffected, you can safely ignore the warning, as the game automatically falls back to a default outfit.
