sims 4 get famous not working

I just bought the sims 4 get famous expansion pack and none of the gameplay aspects are working like the acting career gigs, the invite to goto the job never pops up and the fame points arnt logged/counted. ive tried it with multiple sims and nothing will work

As for the fame: Does the fame bar go up for you at all ? Did you reach the first start and not get any points ?
