Sims 4, is there a way to add a pet after you've made a household?

I made my Sims and I don't really want to have to remake them, but I didn't realize that you had to make a pet at the same time as the SIM, so the one I made afterward can't be put in the household. ...

@malachi2223 yes you can either adopt a pet from the computer or use cheats 

Pc pres crtl shift c and enter testingcheats true then enter cas.fulleditmode then shift click on your sim then press modify in cas 

Ps4\xbox hold all four shoulder buttons enter testingcheats true enter cas.fulleit mode then press L1 X on your sim select modify in cas but be warned entering cheats on console will disable achievements.
