Sims 4 legacy

The sims 4 need to update MacBookk users 2011 and lower game play with out legacy’s.

  • @tty5678  The current version of Sims 4 for macOS requires the Metal API in order to run.  Macs from 2011 and earlier do not support Metal and cannot be updated to do so.  Therefore, the standard version of Sims 4 won't run on these older Macs.

    Fixing this issue would not only take a rewriting of the game, it would run the risk of making future Macs or future versions of macOS incompatible with Sims 4.  The older API (OpenGL) that the Legacy Edition uses may lose support in macOS soon, which would render Sims 4 unplayable on Macs running a fully updated operating system.

    I've merged your post into your previous one on the same subject. Maybe you should think about updating to a newer Mac that supports Metal, rather than expecting the studio to downgrade the game to a more basic tech. spec. for those on 10yrs+ Macs?
