Sims 4 Nostalgia based Scenarios

So the Plantsim scenario got me thinking about other scenario ideas based in Sim lore and inspired by previous Sims games.

I'm all for improving on what we have before adding new things and I think the scenarios are a good idea that just need a bit more to them to make them feel like a challenge.

I'm thinking about the kind of mystery based challenges from The Sims 3 Pets where we got to explore the history of the towns. There are a lot of pirate ship themed items and both Sulani and Brindleton Bay have shipwreck stories. I remember a challenge from Sims Freeplay based on pirates that I did several years ago. If it hasn't already been thought of (I've had a look and not seen anything except I know there has been a gallery household based on them) how about a Princess Cordelia challenge? With the ghosts of Cordelia and Captain Buttercups guiding you.

Or what about challenges like the ones in Sims Bustin Out (bring back heart shaped furniture) where Malcolm Landgrabb was the big bad that we had to quite literally run out of town.

We could have a new Jasmine Holiday scenario or a who is Mayor Whiskers scenario...I mean who is Mayor Whiskers because he looks pretty important with that hat on?!? He has a Simmi character and his own household so why not a scenario?

Some ideas might be pack specific but then it could be said that the alien scenario we have now is better if you have Get to Work with access to Sixam.

The mystery idea is already in the game now for anyone who has Strangerville but once that's done it's done really.

Just thinking out loud... flipping heck I've been playing The Sims a long time!

@simsplayer818 that could be fun! 🥳  Many of us love Sims lore.😃  Those of us who have played since the original Sims will love the nostalgia, and newer players might enjoy learning more about the history of some series staples like the Goths, Landgraabs, and Calientes.

I remember one Sims Bustin' Out challenge that had you tracking down plant that was stolen from the Goth's house! 🔎🌿

And Mayor Whiskers is my favorite cat from Cats & Dogs! 🎩😸🥰

@PugLove888 Yes I remember that challenge with the plant as well! I think my particular favourite was the nightclub/disco challenge. I liked that you had to move from household to household to complete each challenge and upgrade every place where you stayed like with the Hollywood actors, the military base, the trailer park, the Goths.
It also brought the old Sims families into the gameplay with their stories affecting the game. Now they are in the town as regular Sims it seems odd chatting with a Landgrabb who isn't plotting world domination.

@simsplayer818 , I think I had a difficult time at the nightclub in Bustin' Out!  😅  The most memorable to me was the Goth House, and then probably Dudley's trailer, and the Nature campground .  I think there was an art studio that I really liked, but I don't remember the name of it. 🤔

I just remember that you eventually had to get married and I think have kids, but I went back to each place I had lived before I had kids  and then I had kids there  and named them according to the theme of that location. It must have let you choose because I remember having a girl and a boy at each location.   So at the Goth House I think I named the kids Wednesday and Pugsley after the Addams Family kids, and I named the kids my Sim had at the gym FloJo and DiMaggio after Florence Griffith Joyner and Joe DiMaggio), And I named the kids at the movie studio Marilyn for the girl  and Monroe for the boy,  and I named the nature preserve kids River and Sequoia! 🤣  I don't remember the other names I chose for the kids.  Yes, it took extra time to go through all this , but I enjoyed it! 🥳

Yes, it is odd that we don't see a Landgraab using a ray gun to zap our possessions (or was it more of a vaccuum? ) and it is strange not to always fear the Landgraab name now, however, Nancy Landgraab is a Crime Boss, so I always have my Sims be wary around her when starting a new save! 😅

@PugLove888 There's a scenario right there, play as a detective and bring down Nancy Landgrabb! I actually avoid them if I can and I always pinch their home lot to build a Spanish Villa.
They could get loads of ideas from Bustin Out (and hopefully one day release it on Xbok Series S to download 🤞).

@simsplayer818 , that's an idea! 😃 Or you could also play as Nancy and try to avoid getting caught! 😅  I don't think they could make that into a scenario, but it would be fun if they could!

I do have a few detectives with the Get to Work EP, but Nancy has yet to be a suspect!

I try to avoid Nancy and Max Villareal (the little boy from Get Together that has the Evil trait).  But sometimes the only schoolmate my Sim's children bring home is Max and then they have to make the best of it! 😅

Yes, Bustin' Out was a lot of fun, and those who have played it usually speak fondly of it!  You are right that they could get a lot of ideas from that game!  💡
I played it when we had a PS2, along with The Urbz and some console versions of TS1 and TS2.  I played them alongside my PC versions of TS1 and TS2, as they were different.

I hope you can get it for download on your Xbox one day.  🤞

Talking about the Sims Bustin' Out makes me want to watch some Let's Plays of that game!🥳
