Sims 4 older consoles
So I've noticed that Sims 4 no longer wants to work on older consoles. I had to buy the newest Xbox in order for my game to work. I've heard of PC Gamers having the same issue.

The minimal specs required to run the game changed for PC just after Discover University DLC realeased, at least I believe. It still works fine on my gaming PC that is almost 10 years old. It may not work on older PCs that were never meant for gaming. I never had the issue, but I have always owned a gaming laptop or gaming PC. Your problem may be one that is created by Xbox and not by EA. I know console companies usually lessen support for older consoles. It is a sneaky way to encourage their audience to buy the newest console.
