Sims 4 parenthood aspirations (full parent mode)

I'm currently trying to do the parenting aspirations and I'm stuck trying to get my Sims into full parent mode.  I know that I'm supposed to do 4-5 parental interactions to get it to work, but it's ...

I've found that I often need to do more than 5 parental interactions before my sim gets into full parent mode. When I'm ready, I just keep queueing them up until bingo!
