Sims 4 retail lots not placing or building takes forever

My game has been acting so weird since these updates. All my mods and cc are updated and I’ve deleted any type of cache or localthumb package that might be making the game lag. However I noticed a pattern. Anytime I would place a restaurant lot, everything is fine. But as soon as I place a retail lot or change a residential to retail, my game loads for a very long time, basically crashing and I can’t find any answers on how to fix this issue… please help, it’s impossible to enjoy the game when I can’t even place the necessary lots down without it freezing.
