Sims 4 selling music is off

Selling music - lyrics and tunes - is not working - should be the same as selling paintings and books. Selling music is limited to once a week. Why? Also creating music takes too long and stopping puts you back at the beginning. Stopping should let you resume your progress at a later time. Hoping for stay-at-home musicians as there are artists and writers.

Probably EA Logic. I agree that what can be sold should be limited by quantity per week. Real World doesn't have such limitations. As for Music Production Time, I don't know how long it takes in-game, but they may be trying to imitate Real World (Pre-Production/Recording/Post-Production). As for the resetting progress every time you stop, that makes no sense. Real musicians don't just burn their music production material and start the same thing from scratch.

Please Note: I don't play any of the SIMS Games, but I see you point, and agree that it might need looking at.
  • @simstr0ng - If your sim is interrupted while writing a song, sheet music appears in their personal inventory. To resume song writing, open the inventory and click on the sheet music. There is no option on the instrument. I agree that the process takes a long time in sim-hours, but the more skill your sim gains the faster and better quality the songs will be.

Carl's Guide has a great article on making money as a musician - you can check it out here. https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/how-to/write-songs.php

    Happy Simming!
