And if you can't assign a bed, then they didn't move in. Now, you say this was a sim you made. From that comment, I assume you are saying that the potential roommate is a sim you made. Correct? Was that sim already in a house somewhere or was he/she a not in world sim?
Sims who already have a home can't become roommates They must be a not in world sim. If they are in a home somewhere, then you shouldn't have gotten the acceptance popup. You should have gotten one that says no. So I suspect that the roommate was not in world.
Something has obviously gone wrong. But now it's down to what exactly.
Can you see the sim in your relationship panel? If so, do they have the roommate title?
Have you checked to see if a Last Exception was generated?
And have you had any lot load issues with the lot where the sim was supposed to move in, either on game load or when traveling after you asked the sim to be a roommate? I have had both when a roommate was involved before. And the way I had to fix it was to delete the roommate sim which I really didn't want to do but had to since I could find no other way. But if you are not having any other problems with the game then something else may be going on
