Sims behaviour that's odd.
I don't have any screen caps-although I wish I had taken some. The teens were -odd. The son was sent to college ,only to run home. He acted afraid and paranoid of his parents. He also couldn't stop staring at one of his sisters. She was flirting with him,which I thought they couldn't do.
The house kept forming green mold-like substance and oily spots. I had the Mother take her to Magic realm because of her daughter acting 'off' I can't explain it.
This is my theory- Evidently, one Sim got really weird and do things like walk in their bedroom and stand there and watch them woo hoo. He was kicked out of the house. Then brought back because the wife felt sorry for him One of her children was put somewhere else mainly because i wanted more room to have another Sim baby.
The Mother was a spell caster-a inept one but somehow I got her to a pretty high rank or whatever that is. I think the creepy guy)who was her husband's Father) and her daughted banded together for revenge.
I remade the Father without using the past version. I don't know what happened ,but his wife used the freeze way and froze him! I don't know why! I know the stains and stuff were happening again. I may of touched the word 'freezeway(or whatever it is called) But didn't click on it.
I had it on 'no kill' Meanwhile,he was frozrn and his wife and his children acted like the funniest thing just happened.
What is going on? Ok, I know I used too many spells the first time. I don't know what the second activity came from. They seemed to be a happy family. They worked,they went to college and the people next door were related to him)bother was next door)
Is any of this normal? I have never played Sims until I purchased Sims four like 5 months ago. I am not good at computers. Did I do something wrong and corrupt files or something?
@hoxharding It sounds to me like it's working just fine, you just don't understand what's going on.
When things get that green/dirt stuff on them, they're just dirty. They get dirty through normal use and you just need to clean them. (Click on it and select 'clean') You can also upgrade a lot of things to "auto-clean" if you have handiness skill, or you can also hire a maid to clean for you.
Sometimes using a shower will get water on the ground, or when a sink or toilet breaks, water will get on the ground. You just need to mop it up.
If the sister was flirting with her brother, were they blood siblings or by marriage? Blood siblings can't flirt. Siblings by marriage can (I think).
I think siblings can become broken and flirt, but that's rare. It's never happened to me. There ARE mods that disable family romance restrictions, but you said you don't use mods.
Magic Sims will never use spells on their own. They may "practice" magic, but not cast spells. If a sim used the freeze spell (Chillio), you must have clicked it accidentally. There's also the "Sim Ray" you can get through a few ways, but normally from the Scientist career. It can "Freeze Ray" a sim. I think you can also buy the SimRay from the computer's gift menu.
Just keep playing, it's still a lot of fun. I doubt anything's broken.
