Sims cant use personal items

So I created a sorority the other day and moved 4 sims in together, however, when I try to get them to use their homework books or presentation boards, it says "place in world" and when I do, it says...

    @HaleyKohl17 , thank you for telling us that you use mods and that you took out your mods folder to test  and deleted your cache folder! 😇

    Just to be sure was it the localthumbcache.package file that you deleted? 🤔 You want to be sure to delete that particular one ! 🙂

    I looked to see if there was already a bug report on this topic. There was a similar one, but it was more about the presentation board disappearing , not that the Sims were unable to use it.  However, the last person to post in this thread did mention that some of their Sims were unable to use their presentation boards, so you might want to check it out. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-DU-Sim-didn-t-receive-presentation-board-Gone/td-p/9189227
    If this sounds like your problem you can click to Me Too button on the first post and then add your experience to the end of the thread. 😇  This helps EA get data on existing bugs, so the more people who contribute, the better!🙌  Also, Crinrict, a Hero who is always helping on the bug reports, might ask you some more questions for clarification, if she feels the need to do so! 🙂
