Sims don't get served at restaurants
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.77.146.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except the Country Kitchen and Courtyard Patio Kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to a restaurant and order from a waiter.
What happens when the bug occurs? The waiter will look as if they've completed taking the order but they don't leave the table. In the action queue, the waiter's face is still there because they're still taking the order from you, and the next action is for the order to be taken to the kitchen and made but it never happens. Sims sit there for hours with nothing happening. Only way to end this is to give up table (cannot cancel the action with the waiter, it's not clickable). If you reset the waiter, then the whole interaction clears and the waiter goes off to do something else. If you then click to order for table again, it says that the order you made before is pending.
What do you expect to see? Interaction to complete and waiter to take order to the kitchen to be made.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Latest patch (1.77.146.1030).
It's probably worth noting this is only with restaurants that I've downloaded from the gallery; I haven't tried this with a Maxis created restaurant. This only started happening yesterday after it updated. Will try with a Maxis restaurant to see if the problem persists.
- @crinrict No, I checked that thread and it's not the same issue. I've since managed to check with a Maxis-created restaurant and others downloaded from the gallery and it seems that the lots I had were just poorly made (the kitchen items were overlapping and so they couldn't be used, stopping the whole restaurant process). Seems I pre-emptively made this thread. Sorry for wasting your time! If this could be closed I'd appreciate it.
