Sims game stuck in fire

A fire broke out while a sim was cooking... in the middle of a thunderstorm (snowstorm?), while the others were sharing a hotpot. Now time is stuck, my sims won't do anything and I can't reset them. But my game isn't completely frozen?? All my sims are still doing idle standing animations, the fire + thunderstorm animations are still moving and sounding. I can still open the cheat panel and type things in, but the game doesn't react when I try to reset the oven or the sims... Help pls ☹️((

    I'm having this issue myself. The game isn't paused, the fire hasn't spread, and my Sims are stuck in idle movements. All visiting townies are standing in place. I can't cancel any actions, add any new actions, or switch Sims. I can open the cheats bar, and switch between the categories in the bottom right of the game, but can't interact with anything.
