@tszrivan I did find the tense moodlet and having to run to the bathroom before the exam (and even a couple of times missing the beginning of a final exam) very annoying as well, I must adit. I can see the use of it in-game and a certain amount of it makes sense for realism, but it can be frustrating.
I did find that one of the times it did seem to moderate my sim's performance on the exam (and had delayed him significantly), but the overall grade in the class was still an 'A' or 'A-', so I assumed it wasn't overly affected.
I began to watch for this by not 'cramming/studying' too much right before leaving for the exam, having all needs met, being calm, etc. Another helpful option is doing an activity to get them in the 'focused' moodlet to override/avoid the tense one before a final exam or presentation. It helped a lot to make these things my main goal in the couple of hours before the exam.
I'd recommend doing the studying before-hand. The 'before exam nerves' seem to be exacerbated by last-minute cramming, in my experience. Fortunately the 'tense' moodlet doesn't last through the entire exam or presentation, even if you cannot avoid it.
Hope this helps some.
