Sims not returning from work or school, are not going to work or school

Please help. Sims are not returning from work or school. Some household Sims are not going to work or school. Sims are not following commands. Sims stay stuck after the debug option is performed, game is up to date. No MODS, no custom content. I have quit and gone back in many times.

    Hi CBates2016​ 

    • Do they not return as in they are still greyed out but the Sims themselves are back in the house or just stay at school work forever ?
    • Do you have this issue with a new save as well as existing ones or just a specific one ?
