Sims resetting themselves during idle, eating, homework.

Following the new update/patch my sims are constantly resetting during tasks! They will set food down around 3 times during each meal! I have no mods installed at all (and never have), its not synched to Microsoft OneDrive which I read may cause issues, and I don't have the new expansion pack either.

NPCs are also resetting, especially when in conversation, or eating. This problem only started recently but I haven't seen anyone experiencing the same or how to fix it. I've already repaired both EA app and Steam on my computer, and cleared the cache. Thanks to anyone who can help me find a solution!
