I have the very same issue.
Tried everything, removed mods, localthumbcache, did a filecheck/repair, everything except a fresh installation, which will not happen.
Ususally I am patient, as I play Sims from the very beginning ... usually there is always a way to fix it, but right now my patience is non existent and I have to ask:
Are you guys kidding us? Or is it just plain and simple stupidity you're showing the world?
Releasing a patch which breaks stuff and then release a fix which isn't fixing the sh*t you've done, while blocking a simple ROLLBACK feature.
Allow your customers to roll back to a working version! Can't be that hard to implement this!
