Sims will not interact with infants

I play on console. After turning on “disable caregiver autonomy for infants” my sims will not complete any action with infants. They do kind of a t pose and drop the infant, then when attempting another action will act like they can’t reach the infant to even drop them at all. Turning that feature off allows the sim to complete actions again
