sims will not load to main menu

posting in hopes of someone having a solution or someone experiencing the same issue in case this is an issue only for me. 

since the newest update, my sims cannot open to main menu at all. it is stuck on the loading screen and will not go to main menu (i've let it load for 30 minutes and it still won't get to the main menu). i've tried everything i can think of to fix this issue-remove mods and cc, repair all of the sims packs, repair the ea app, cleared cache, et cetera. 

however, nothing works! i don't know what else to do, i believe my game won't open due to the newest update because beforehand, i never encountered issues in the game loading. 

i'm tempted to just completely uninstall and then reinstall the game, but i'm so annoyed i don't even think that will work. any advice or is anyone going through something similar?

    I am also having this issue. Just hopped on today after a few days and not able to get past the blue screen. Saw a few more messages from other users that they are also experiencing this as well.

    gave in and decided to uninstall and reinstall the game, and now i just get a black screen! i love ea!

    Is anyone else having trouble with their game just not working at all? 

    Everytime I open the sims 4 it loads like normal, but as soon as I get to the menu screen my screen goes completely black. And I can't press anything on my screen. I also can't leave the game unless I press ctrl+alt+delete then task manager to end the task. 

    I have tried uninstalling the game, removing mods that could be broken, restarting my computer etc and Nothing has resolved the issue. 

    Please let me know if you're having the same issue so i'm not alone.

    Mine is the same, reinstalling doesnt work. My game will start up but as soon as it gets to the menu to play the game I just have  a pitch black screen and I can't even leave the game. I have to manually end the task through task manager. It's really bad.

    Yup same for me and I tried everything including reinstalling the game but It did not work! I haven't been able to play since I updated my game with the latest update
