Sims4 Game failed to load. Error Code: 123:96fac8cb:dl67c45

I have been trying to play my game for weeks. At the point of loading the screen, I reach an error code." Error Code: 123:96fac8cb:dl67c45 It is recommended that you relaunch the game." I do have mods but I have removed them. I noticed the issue after the For Rent package. I am also unable to purchase a property. I click it to purchase but the property does not appear in the owned rentals panel. Any suggestions?

  • @lexisxstar  With the mods removed, can you load and get the error, then try again to load the save?

If that doesn't work, can you load a different lot within the same save?

I still get the error when I run the game with no mods.

I have tried to play other lots but i still get the error at random load screens. Like if I'm traveling to another lot.

@lexisxstar  When you get the error trying to load your main household, if you try to load that same household a second time (without quitting or exiting to the Main Menu), are you able to load that household?

Separately, is there any pattern to the other lots this happens with?  For example, perhaps they're all lots you created/modified/downloaded rather than EA lots, or even households you've played previously.  I ask because I'm wondering whether some leftover custom content-related item is on these lots, for example a plate from a cc recipe.  If so, you might be able to load the house in Build mode and delete the offending item.

If you're not sure what the answer is, make a second copy of your save by using "save as" to rename it, which will leave the original intact under its old name.  In the new copy, try bulldozing one of the other lots where you get this error.  If that prevents the error from happening again, then it's a matter of finding the object; you can create another new save from the original and try deleting the house/lot room by room instead.

The only pattern I notice is that it affects lots that owned a rental property.

Regarding CC, I did remove all CC and mods from my game and still received the error when traveling to a venue lot. I am going to try uninstalling "For Rent" and see if I still get the error message.

I uninstalled the entire game and its add ons. I reinstalled, no mods or cc. Played for about 15 min, tried to travel to another residential lot and gothe error message.

Error code 10-:92dbf8ec:56690ee1. Recomended that you relaunch game.

@lexisxstar  Does this happen if you bulldoze the lot too?  Please also double-check the newer error you're getting—the code shouldn't have a - in it.

The newer error did not have a -.Error Code 109:92dbf8ec:56690ee1

I have tried moving to other lots so the sim doesn't even live at the lot that this started from. She is now in an apartment. The most recent error occurred when the household was traveling to another residential lot. Load screen appeared but it took me to the "select a world" screen and gave me the error code. I just update my PC and optimized my drives so I can try to play again. Any other suggestions ?

It happened again while traveling to another lot. See screenshot for error code.

@lexisxstar  Error code 109 is often related to custom recipes, which can mean a leftover plate on the lot in question.  The problem in this case wouldn't be the home lot but rather the lot your sim is traveling to, so that's where to look for problems.  Try deleting one room of that lot at a time and see whether you can get it to load.  If so, you may be able to remove the offending item in Build mode without deleting the entire room it's in.
