Sold Time of Echos Shards - Cant Complete Quest

Hello, Im a new Sims player and was going through an inventory cleanout... I sold my quest shards and cant complete the current quest to get to the next task.

I've tried digging in different areas of the world in hopes for a chance to get new shards, Ive also clicked my mailbox at home and the vet business I own. How do I gain my shards back? Otherwise Im stuck for until the end of this quest for a month........ :(
