Solved! Computers on community lots won't work

*** I figured out the problem on my own, but leaving this here in case someone else run into the same issues. The problem wasn't with the lot, or the computers, or the mods - but with the desk. I had used the front desk from Get to Work, and apparently that doesn't work like other desks. I noticed that the computers worked in another room with another desk, and so the solution was easy. Change the front desk to a common one and the computers work just fine. ***

I don't know if this is a bug-issue, a mod-issue or a save issue, but I noticed today that when on a communal lot, my sims can't use either computers or research machines properly, as very few options show up. So far I tried changing the lot type rom rec. center, to gym, to library, but the computers won't work no matter the venue type. See the pictures to understand the problem.

I know I haven't had this issue before, so now the question is where it comes from. My save is old, and there are some corrupted lots, but this isn't one of them. I do use mods, but they're all up to date and neither of them has had this problem before. Or his this related to the latest patch? Also if anyone had had this issue and solved it, how did you do it?
