Spandrel Error

I think something may be wrong with the spandrels, unless I'm using them incorrectly. I recently tried to build a home in TS4 but the spandrels either weren't visible at all or looked like they had completely different model/texture, which can be seen in the images attached. This is the first time I'm using spandrels, so I could be wrong, but this doesn't feel like this is supposed to happen with them, either. Also, when I placed them down, they disappeared when I went back into Live mode, and I couldn't see them no matter what I did with the room viewing controls. Is anyone else having this issue?
(I also have everything from TS4 installed, if that helps)

    I'm not sure what you have going on from your description and pics other than the spandrels might not be working correctly.  One thing though, when you try to install spandrels, it is best to do it with walls up all the way.  Otherwise, they will be hidden with the walls in the other 2 settings.  You generally can't see spandrels in live mode with walls down or in cutaway mode on the level on which you are playing. What I mean, is if the level is the 1st floor, you won't see the spandrels on that level until you change to another floor.
