Okay so I'm making a new building and I'm trying to do a split level home which I have done before without any issues.
My problem right now is that it works but for some odd reason the foundation on the inside of the house isn't visible and I can't change it. It's just not there. I see through it and into the void basically.
Please help. I don't know what else to do because I really want split level area.
To get the split level look you are looking for, try building a flat foundation, then use a platform in the middle. Just use the platform arrows to make it go down into the foundation. When you place them, they are always 1 click up so you have to lower them to get the sunken effect. Another good thing to do is put a basement under that area of the build that is at least 1 tile wider on all sides than the sunken platform. And lower the basement a few clicks, then put the platform in.
